My 20’s

I’m turning 30 this week.

Before I say goodbye to my 20’s I wanted to take a moment to reflect on this formative decade, and share a personal retrospective.

Here are the notable events, high points, low points, and learnings from the last ten years:

The major initiatives and circumstances that shaped me for better or worse:

• College (Boston University ‘12)
• Studying abroad in London
• Co-founding a tech startup
• A semi-traumatic medical event in Brazil
• Getting fired– twice
• Being unemployed and feeling lost
• General Assembly UXDI NYC ‘15
• Moving in with people I met on Craigslist
• Apartment hacking in Bushwick / Bed Stuy
• The romantic relationships

🏆 High Points

These are the accomplishments I am most proud of:

+ Playing drums with bands at music venues in NYC
(Bands include: Hide & Seek, Low Mein, Olu Bliss, and casually with the Mistwerwives once or twice ;. Venues include: Rockwood Music Hall, Arlene’s Grocery, Highline Ballroom, Madison Square Park, and even a show at a warehouse in Brooklyn for a few hundred Pace University kids)
+ Getting hired at Cloud Castle
+ Scoring freelance design projects
+ Trying out for the OKC Energy minor league soccer team
